Visit to Archelon Rescue Center
Grade 4 students visited the Archelon and saw why sea turtles are under threat. They were caring, thinkers and knowledgeable and showed appreciation. They discussed how they can preserve the natural environment in order to help the sea turtles, and sea animals in general, from extinction. Moreover, the money that will be raised from 4A's future TAG's day will be donated to Archelon to "adopt" a sea turtle and provide the necessary funds to help rehabilitate it. All in all, this was an excellent opportunity for us to connect back to our ongoing inquiry around "Sharing the Planet" and human's impact on oceans!
