11th & 12th Grade Culture Identities Interview
On Monday, September 13th, some students in grades 11 & 12 had the novel experience of being interviewed. The occasion was the visit of Mr. Jordan Woodgate, who was doing research on identities and issues of belonging to "third cultures" for his dissertation at the University of Nottingham in the U.K. While here, he interviewed students in the 11th and 12th grades who have grown up in at least two different cultures.
Upon leaving, Mr. Woodgate said “the pupils were very co-operative and helpful. I appreciated their maturity and great senses of humour”.
About 20 students had good things to say about this experience, which emphasized the ISA commitment to internationalism and multiculturalism.
