Job Title: IT Support Technician

Job Description:
The IT Support Technician provides daily Level 1 (primarily) and occasional Level 2 technical support and troubleshooting for all school-related software, online platforms, and equipment. This includes desktops, laptops, tablets, projectors, printers, phones, copiers, the theatre sound system, and other devices. The role also involves offering technical assistance to faculty and staff across the International School of Athens campus as well as both branches of Melina’s Kindergarten (nearby locations).


Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

  • Provide Level 1— and occasional Level 2 support by troubleshooting issues related to hardware, software, and network operating systems.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade hardware, software, networks, and peripheral equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance during school events, including online exams and equipment setup.
  • Assist with the deployment of new software and equipment, as well as system setup and ongoing maintenance.
  • Monitor and respond to IT support requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure the successful and accurate completion of all assigned daily tasks.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers as needed.

Reporting Structure:

  • Daily Supervision: IT Head
  • Personnel Matters (e.g., contract, salary): HR & Business Office

Requirements:

  • Relevant educational background in Computer Science or a related field
  • Documented experience in IT support roles
  • 3 years of preferred experience providing technical assistance
  • Strong knowledge of PC hardware and software
  • Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 365 platform
  • Strong knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure
  • End user device support laptops, desktops, tablets (Windows 10/11, iPads, Apple laptops, printers)
  • Experience with Audio Visual devices (Projectors, Interactive boards)
  • Fluent in English
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and demonstrates a strong work ethic
