Dear Parents,
With the enclosed Honour Roll list, we would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the students whose fine academic efforts have placed them on the Honour Roll for the first trimester of the 2010-2011 academic year. Regardless of which honours a student earns, it is a highly regarded achievement in school and one of which the student can be very proud. May they serve as an example to be followed by all students.
The Honour Roll is based on a student`s grade point average (G.P.A.) in his or her academic classes and is calculated on a 7 point scale for the IB diploma programme, including the pre-IB 10th grade (G.P.A. of 5.2 or higher), and on a 4 point scale for grades 7-9 and grade 12 in the certificate programme, (G.P.A. of 3.20 or higher, calculated on academic subjects). For the Effort Honour Roll the student must earn at least 3 A`s (for outstanding effort) and no effort mark below C. At least two A’s must be in academic subjects.
We commend the students who continue to exhibit qualities that the school instills in them such as exemplary study habits, high sense of tolerance and respect, and positive attitude and behaviour which are reflected in their continued effort to work hard and produce commendable results. In addition, we congratulate the students who have made a marked improvement in their subjects since the mid-trimester reports and we are very proud that they followed their teachers’ suggestions for a promising academic outcome.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Chris Tragas Christopher Pulford
