Art 9 and Art 11 students visited IETT to view the works of Emma Papadopoulos titled 'For the Love of Familiarity'. She was born in England where she studied Art specializing in painting. Papadopoulos has participated in several exhibitions in England in Italy in Greece and Cyprus. She currently lives and works in Athens.
The students studied the works whose three basic elements are land, sea, and man. The students could gaze upon the artist's sketches and see how she transfers her work to the canvas; where she explores the color of the figure and the texture in a new context.
Emma Papadopoulos wants to show her landscapes and her figures together in the same place creating a dialogue between the two. Although each work has its own distinct character, there is a familiar expression that links the works of each unit it creates.
