The students of 7th and 8th grade visited the Attica Zoo on 19/10/2018.
The students, at the beginning of their visit, went to the dolphins to have a direct experience of their ability to follow commands and work in harmony with humans and also a lot of information was given regarding their lives.
Both classes participated in the educational program : “ Conservation of Biodiversity”. Students were informed about the importance of biodiversity of species, the present status and examples were given for the effects of the “Anthropocene” period on the biodiversity of various species. Through an interactive dialogue students were guided to find what they can do on a personal level in order to help the present situation.
After that they were escorted to the giraffes area, where they had a live experience by feeding them.
During the in between time they also visited different animals of the zoo.
