Celebration of International Human Rights Day

On Monday, December 9, the Greek Language and Literature and Language Acquisition classes of the 10th grade attended an interactive lecture by Ms. Katerina Toura, an expert in human rights education and non-discrimination. This event was part of the celebration of International Human Rights Day (December 10). Through both the course material and the discussion with the guest speaker, students had the opportunity to delve into the concept of human rights, understand the importance of non-discrimination, and realize their significance as global citizens, fostering the notion of international mindedness. The event took place within the framework of Service as Action, as students have prepared awareness posters for this event, and creative poems for Human Rights, and it also included a musical component, featuring our school choir and members of the MYP Band performing John Lennon’s "Imagine" and Bob Dylan's "Blowing in the wind".
