Christmas Letter from the Director
Friday, December 9, 2011
Dear Parents,
We look forward to welcoming you to our official end of first trimester Parent/Teacher conference, which will take place on Wednesday, December 14th, from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. There are no classes on that day as teachers will meet in the morning to discuss their students’ progress.
Upon arrival at the school, you will receive your child`s grade comments and attendance notification (where necessary). Teacher and classroom locations will be sent home next week with your children.
I would like to emphasize how important it is for you to be present at these meetings for both your children and their teachers.
On a different note, a heartfelt THANK YOU to the entire ISA community (students, faculty, staff and parents from JPK-12) for being such excellent hosts during the recent MSA reaccreditation visit. The team members were very complimentary and impressed by all of us, and the school as a whole. They thoroughly enjoyed their visit in meeting us and talking to us. They shared nothing but very positive comments and have unanimously recommended our re-accreditation to the MSA board.
Christmas holidays are approaching rapidly and will, in fact, begin after classes on Wednesday, December 21st. Classes will resume on Monday, January 9th, 2012. Our offices will remain open during the break.
As the holidays are sufficiently long, we recommend that students not take additional time off. However, realising that sometimes family needs make absences necessary, we ask you to let us know if your child will be absent for longer than the already planned holiday time. In this case, we would like you to send with him/her, a written request for permission of leave. Responsibility for completion of any missed work lies with you and your child. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Finally, we are pleased to invite you to our Winter Wonderland performance which will be held in the school theatre on Monday and Tuesday, December 12th & 13th at 6:30 p.m. Please join us in sharing the joys of this festive season and in supporting our students, faculty and parents taking part in the show. Furthermore, on Saturday, December 10th students will be performing Rock and Christmas songs at the ISA stand located on the ground floor of the Golden Hall outside the Tommy Hilfiger Store at 1:30 p.m. as well as Saturday, December 17th, where there will be a Christmas Drawing event with the Melina’s children.
Our warmest wishes to each and every one of you.
Kind regards,
C. N. Koenig-Dardoufas
