Donation to the "Hope Cafe" Voluntary Organization
On the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the Service as Action program has organized a Clothes Drive for winter clothing to be donated to the "Hope Cafe" Voluntary Organization for the needs of homeless people in downtown Athens. Also, an online presentation by Ms. Jenny Papasotiriou, Officer for the educational programs of the European Parliament in Brussels has been organized for the students of grade 10 who had the opportunity to discuss this current and urgent global issue with her. From her position in the EU, Ms. Papasotiriou informed students of actions taken at the parliamentary level to eradicate poverty.
