Erasmus programme -Helsinki Upper Secondary School visit

On Thursday, April 10th, and Friday, April 11th, the International School of Athens (ISA) had the pleasure of hosting a group of 16 students and two accompanying teachers from Helsinki Upper Secondary School as part of a two-day cultural and educational exchange. This enriching visit was organized under the framework of the ERASMUS program and the ASPnet UNESCO network, with the goal of deepening cross-cultural understanding, promoting international cooperation and mindedness, and offering the Finnish students a first-hand experience of Greek culture and life at ISA.

Throughout their visit, the students from Helsinki participated in a dynamic program designed to both educate and inspire. They were warmly welcomed by ISA’s MYP/DP Student Council representatives, three enthusiastic Grade 9 Student Ambassadors, and a dedicated group of CAS students, who collaborated to ensure a meaningful and memorable exchange.

The program included a blend of classroom experiences, cultural presentations, and collaborative projects, allowing the visiting students to gain insight into the daily student life at ISA. This unique exchange provided all participants with the opportunity to build international friendships, broaden their perspectives, and reflect on the importance of cultural appreciation and educational collaboration. It was truly an unforgettable experience for everyone involved!
