"Feeling Cared in School"

Grade 4 students and Kindergarten students took part in the international project "Feeling Cared in School".

Fourth grade students of ISA and Melina's Kindergarten students took part in the International project “ Feeling CARED in School”, organized by the Laboratory of School Psychology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the ISPA School Psychology Trainers Task Force, and the ISPA Student Organizing Committee.

The main goal of this international initiative is to highlight the role of class/ school as a place that promotes and fosters children’s resilience especially during trying and exceptional time and to inspire other school communities internationally to demonstrate how students can feel cared in their school communities.

Our students discussed with their teachers about the factors that help them feel connected, respected, accepted, and empowered in the school environment.

Then they worked collaboratively in order to make a poster demonstrating how the school represents a place of care for them.

Their posters are part of the international online exhibition “Feeling CARED in School: A Journey Around the World” (link: https://www.international-school-project.space/s/posters/page/welcome).
