The Greek Department has cordially invited Haris Vlavianos, one of the most prolific Greek poets of the so-called “Generation of 1980”. He is the editor of the literary Greek journal "Poetics" and he has translated some of the most significant English-speaking poets such as T.S. Eliot, Ezra Pound, E. E. Cummings, William Blake, John Ashbery, Michael Longley. Students of grade 11 and 12 Greek Language and Literature courses had the unique opportunity to discuss with Mr. Vlavianos about poetry and poetic inspiration on Friday, February 2nd at 10.30-12.00 in the school’s library.
