Mid-term reports - Parent/teacher conferences

Dear Parents,

We look forward to welcoming you to our first official Parent/Teacher conference, which will take place on Wednesday, October 26th from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. There are no classes on that day as teachers will meet in the morning to work on the self study for the school’s reaccreditation.

Upon arrival at the school, you will receive your child`s mid-term reports and attendance notification (where necessary). Teacher and classroom locations can be found on the back of this letter. You can also find this posted on the website.

I would like to emphasize how important it is for you to be present at these meetings for both your children and their teachers.

On a different note, as we are finalizing our work on our self-study, we look forward to the MSA re-accreditation visiting team comprised of educators from international schools around the globe which will take place from November 28th to December 1st, 2011. Please note that Mr. Tragas, Assistant Director, will be participating in the re-accreditation of the International School of Trieste, Italy, as a member of their visiting team. In addition, Mr. David Botbyl, Middle School Principal of the American International School of Kuwait and chairperson of the visiting team, is visiting our school and meeting with Mr. Tragas and myself, as well as the members of our Steering Committee for a preliminary pre-visit meeting.

Finally, we remind you that on Thursday, October 27th there will be no classes. We wish all our students a safe and relaxing 28th October long weekend.
