Our school’s MUN club, with 20 students from Grade 8-11, completed a spectacular, rigorous participation in the Pierce College MUN (ACGMUN) from Friday March 19th to Sunday March 21st. Our students, assisted by mentors Nefeli P. and Ermis D., as well as their Advisors, gave their best effort in what was a demanding online experience, putting to practice and showcasing the IB Learner Profile. For Grade 8s and newcomers, what a challenge! These are our risk-takers! The more experienced delegates, showed they have the qualities of communicators, inquirers, principled. Spending an entire weekend in front of a screen discussing world issues that need solutions, now.
Here is another cause for celebration: Our school won 2 best delegate Awards! Ermis D. in the Security Council (Russian Federation) and Spilios M. in the Historical Security Council (Russian Federation).
Maya M.-R. in the World Health Organisation got an Honorable mention!
This year, for the first time, we had a Judge in the International Court of Justice: Kostas S.
Congratulations to ALL 21 of you!
