Presentation of the "Speak a poem to power" activity to the educational seminar "Speak truth to power" of the R. Kennedy Foundation organized by the M.V.Vardinoyiannis' Foundation.

As a major focus of the IB program of our school is the development of international-mindedness, which is the basis for understanding national culture and accepting the culture of others, and by taking advantage of the multicultural composition of the student community, our students sought to find out what the common field is of all cultures, and they came up with the universal means of expression, the language. Through the activity “Speak a poem to power”, our grade 9 and 10 students proposed revocation of “international madness” into “international-mindedness” and during the last academic year, they discovered the poets of their motherlands who defended Human Rights and introduced them to MYP students, using PowerPoint presentations. This activity was presented in the online educational seminar of the educational program "Speak truth to power" of the R. Kennedy Foundation organized by the M.V. Vardinoyannis' Foundation through Zoom to teachers from many schools around Greece with the guidance of Ms. Kapsabeli and Ms. Kefallinou.
