PYP hosted a German Celebration
On Wednesday, November 20th, 2019, PYP hosted a celebration for St. Martin's Day. Students in grades 1 and 2 taking German as a foreign language, prepared during class the lanterns and a parade, singing on all floors of our school. This celebration is part of a German tradition and, for this reason, we worked on a number of videos, songs and worksheets to include, as it is instructed in our curriculum, these cultural aspects. One of our grade two mothers with a German origin, offered the traditional German sweet Stutenkerl, as an extra treat.
