“Speak Truth to Power” by the R. F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation
On Monday, November 25th two of our teachers, namely Ms. Kefallinou Loukia, IB DP/CP and High School Greek teacher and Ms. Kapsabeli Marina, Primary and Middle School Greek teacher, participated in the workshop about Human Rights Educational Program “Speak Truth to Power” by the R. F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation, which combines powerful storytelling and interactive learning in order to create a global citizenry of students and teachers who are ready to end and prevent human rights abuses and violations and which was organized by the M.V. Vardinoyiannis’ Foundation at Athens Plaza Hotel. At the heart of the program are the stories of Human Rights defenders from around the world which provide students with a unique entry point into understanding human rights issues while encouraging them to become empathetic and emboldened champions of justice in their everyday lives.
