Translation Contest, Juvenes Translatores.

On Tuesday, November 27th four of our students, Dafni Vouzi, Gulia Kakava, Angel Atanasov and Makis Tzioras participated enthusiastically in the European Translation Contest, Juvenes Translatores. Our students had the unique opportunity to write their creative translated piece of writing from one European language of their choice to their mother tongue. It was an excellent experience in the international and multilingual environment of the International School of Athens!

Comments from the candidates after the contest:

“The topic chosen to be translated was a very interesting and informative one. It was not very tough but it did need to be read and reread for full comprehension. Very good choice of article, overall!” Makis Tzioras
“I believe that is a good experience for all the students who got involved in this. Also, it was a contest without anxiousness, because the only thing that mattered was to enjoy the process and get something out of it as a person. It was the first time that I was translating a text and I liked it!” Dafni Vouzi
“The contest was very interesting and I really enjoyed it!” Angel Atanasov
