Twenty-two 11th grade students participated in an educational field trip to Nafplion, Mycenae and Ancient Epidaurus from Friday to Sunday, April 19th – 21st. Students had the unique opportunity to explore Greece’s heritage from the ancient city of King Agamemnon and the splendid theatre of Epidaurus with its unique acoustics and location, to the modern history of the country’s first capital, descending the steps of the famous Palamidi Castle and learning about the castle of Bourtzi.
Students enjoyed roaming the cobblestone pathways of the old city of Nafplio, discovering the traditional tastes of the Greek cuisine and enjoying all the beautiful settings with their classmates.
Finally, a beach cleanup at Carathona beach was blended into the trip, allowing students to offer their services to the community and at the same time gain points for the CAS programme.
