Visit to KYAN Project Space
Visual Art students of grade 10 and 11 visited the KYAN Project Space in Exarchia to see the group show Elpis – A Hopeful Ode to the Human Condition and the Power of the Hand. Students got to meet ISA alumni, Aristeidis Lappas whose artwork was exhibited and share a question answer session with owner, artist, and curator Kyveli Zoi. Our educational field trips provide the art students an opportunity to view an artist’s quest in creating a visual investigation, which unfolds before them with an emphasis on traditional and nontraditional materials. This visit introduced the students with an understanding of exhibition spaces, which provides mood and spotlights contemporary narratives.
