On December 8th, the students and the teachers of the World Languages Department presented a festive, multicultural and multilingual event, based on the celebrations, anniversaries and rituals that take place in the countries whose languages we study in our school. The event took place in the school theatre and it came to light thanks to the hard work and cooperation of the students from grade 7 to grade 10, their respective teachers and the Art Department. The French team presented the world-famous theatre festival that takes place every summer in the southern beautiful city of Avignon and the tale of Saint Nicolas, which is celebrated in France and its neighbouring countries. The German team presented the historic event of the Fall of the Wall in Berlin and the more festive and cheerful Oktoberfest, the beer festival that is held in Munich. Finally, the Spanish-speaking team, presented the Day of the Discovery, which commemorates the moment when the 2 worlds came into contact for the very first time and the Day of the Dead, a colourful, traditional Mexican festivity. It was a rewarding experience for both the participants and the audience and it truly reflected the international spirit of our school.
