Video: 'The school where learning is a game'. We watched about the 'Quest to learn' school in New York and we discussed about the inclusion of gaming in the school curriculum

Documentary video: 'School Days'. We discussed about the different education systems in countries such as the UK, China and Finland. Students talked about what changes thy would make in the Greek education system.

Listening, pg. 48 (Task One & Two)
Speaking (in pairs) and making a decision, pg. 49. Students had to discuss the question of how different amenities can make our lives in cities easier and then decide which two they would choose as more important. We also checked various ways of agreeing and disagreeing politely.
Writing a film review, pg. 50-52: plan, evaluation (how to praise and criticize), useful vocabulary
'The Social Dilemma": we watched the Netflix docudrama (up to 25'). Students discussed the negative impact of social media and how technology companies try to manipulate human psychology by monitoring us constantly and tapping into our personality with various 'magic' tricks. We also talked about their common practice of monetisation.
HOMEWORK FOR 28/11/2020
Revise extensively Unit 4 for a Quiz next time. You should study the Vocabulary and Grammar through the student's book, workbook and the companion (see uploaded files, 17/11/2020)
