Note: We are happy to announce that there will be a book fair taking place at our school, where students will get the opportunity to buy books based on their age level and reading askills. It will take palce in the multipurpose room around 10:00 to 15:00. Each student can bring 10 - 20 euros to purchase their book title.

Grammar: The verb 'to be'

The students were introduced to the long and short form of the verb "to be"
Long form: I am, You are, He is, She is, It is
Short forrm: I'm, You're, He's, She's, and It's
They were also introduced to the negative form of the same verb
Long form: I am not, You are not, He is not, She is not, It is not
Short form: I'm not, You aren't, He isn't, She isn't, It isn't

Unit 1 (All About Me!)

Introduction to numbers (1-10) + colors
Work covered
Numbers:
The students were introduced to numbers 1-10
They wrote the numbers in thier notebooks
ex: 1 = one, 2 = two, 3 = three, 4 = four, 5 = five, 6 = six, 7 = seven, 8 = eight, 9 = nine, and 10 = ten
Game:
The students played a game by using the target language (numbers) of the lesson.
In pairs, the pupils came to the front of the class. Pupil A asks: How old are you?
Pupil B answers: I'm eight! etc
Activity book:
The students completed exercises 3 and 4 of pg. 3
Companion book:
The students completed exercise 1 of pg. 7
Colors:
The students were introduced to the colors:
blue, red, yellow, black, green, purple, white, and orange.

Commands:
The students were introduced to different classroom commands
ex: Put your hand up!, Sit down!, Close the door!, Be quiet!, Open your book! and Stand up!

The students reviewed the English alphabet

Letter Blends:
The were introduced to 4 Letter Blends along with the words that accompany them
They practiced saying the sounds along with the words for each pair
sh = shop, and sheep
ch = cheese, and chips
ph = phone, and dolphin
th = thumb, and three
They completed exercises 2 and 3 of pgs. 32 - 35
They drew while watching a video based on the vocabulary learned in class
HW (25/10/25):
Complete handout (Letter Bb)
Complete exercise 4 found on pg.33 (alphabet book)
In your notebooks copy x 3 the words: jacket, elephant, queen, vase, and girl
Note: For next class please bring all your books (thick ones) as well as your alphabet book

Qq = queen, Rr = robot, Ss = sun, Tt = tree, Uu = umbrella, Vv = vase, Ww = watch, Xx = box, Yy = yellow, and Zz = zebra
