Today’s work in class:

SB: p. 14 ex. 2, p. 15 ex. 4, 7, p. 16- 17 all
GB: pages 24- 27: Possessive adjectives, completed ex. 1, 2, 5, 6

Homework

SB: p. 16 Practise Reading

Companion: pages 20-21 study all, use the circled words to make beautiful sentences

WB: p. 11- 13 all exercises

GB: p. 25+ 26 study the grammar boxes, p. 26 ex. 4, p. 27 ex. 7

Optional: (if you want)

PROJECT ON AN ANIMAL!!!

Find information about an animal you like! Try to answer these questions:
- What colour is it?
- Where does it live?
- What does it eat?
- Who looks after the babies? Mum or Dad?

You can draw, use pictures and lots of colours! It’s a free activity so you can be as creative as you want! 

Remember that it is better to do your homework during the week, and not in just one afternoon! You learn better this way and you don’t get tired

1. GB: pgs. 17, 18, 21 study all forms of verb ‘to be’
              p.19 ex. 8, p. 22 all

2. Companion:  p. 14 ex. 6 (try to revise the prepositions before you do it)
                                   p.15-16 study all words.
Dictation: grown-up, teenager, twin, grandparent, sweet, kind, naughty, uncle, aunt,
                      cousin, clever, grandson, granddaughter.
                                   p. 18 study words 1.2.1- 1.2.12.
Dictation: friendship, brilliant, present, soft toy

3. SB: p. 12 practise reading

4. WB: p. 8 all, p.9 all, p. 11 all

Note: You also need to bring a notebook with 3 subjects or 3 notebooks for:

Grammar Book: pages 10-14: Prepositions of Time (in, on, at), Plurals (Regular+ Irregular nouns), There is/ there are

SB: p. 6 Telling the time: we learnt how to tell the time (only: …o’ clock, half past…, quarter past…, quarter to…)

WB: p.7 ex. 5

 

Homework

1. Practise telling the time using the clocks we put in our notebooks (for more practice, you can also play this game: https://wordwall.net/resource/25287930/esol/telling-the-time-oclock-half-past-quarter-to-quarter-past

2. Grammar Book: p. 11 study how we use the prepositions of time (you can use the pyramid we created in our notebooks)
                                p. 12 Study how we form plurals
                                Irregular Nouns: study very well (for Dictation)

4. WB: p.7 ex. 6, 7

5. Companion: p.8 Study the days of the week+ the seasons (for those who were absent: the companion books were given to all students today at school)

Today we introduced ourselves in class and talked about the things we like. We created out classroom expectations and we practised using our classroom calendar!
